I have tried and tried to recover from my more than 300 backup copies created via SBS management console. There are two issues:
1. The recover system is not compatible with the version of windows you are trying to recover. I came by that issue by booting in legacy mode.
2. The first attempt was successful to some extent. The recovery system recovered the EFI section and startet to recover the C drive. But after a couple of hours it seemed to stop. It was not frozen, but nothing happened. The blue slider stopped at approximately 15 %. So I cancelled the recovery and decided to try again with another backup date. However, now it wouldn't even start, at it said that the very same computer was in BIOS mode and therefore unable to recover! That kept on and I am stucked. I have tried to change almost everything in the bios settings, but with the only result that either the EFI message comes up, or the wrong version of recovery tool are used.
Please can someone help? Can I do a re-install and then recover all the files to the state it was - or do I have to download another recovery tool or something?
Kind regards
Michael
