SBS 2008 and Windows 8.

I am assuming firstly that all our clients attached to sbs 2008 which currently are either Vista Business or Windows 7 cannot be upgraded to Windows 8 and seamlessly work with the server. Am I right?

I would however like to upgrade my home laptop which is Windows 7 Pro to the Windows 8 pro at the fairly good upgrade price we have where in the UK. Now I use this to logon remotely to RWW with either IE9 or (mostly) a Remote Desktop Connection. I do not connect this laptop to the local server network (always remote) and it is not joined anyway. Can I upgrade this laptop to Windows 8 Pro and expect it to work as it does not without change to the RWW or RDT settings, etc.?

On just purely the upgrade idea, is it worth it if my laptop does not have a touchscreen?

Not sure if anyone has done this. Thanks.
