I am setting up an SBS 2011 server for remote web workplace, I followed the wizard through the steps as necessary.
I got to the point where it asked me for my domain name and so I purchased a new one from our current domain registrar.
I then needed to and indeed manually set up the router to allow the ports through to the server as requred.
Now my registrar wants to know the nameserver of my SBS server and I cannot find it anywhere. They say they need that to put in to the configuration of the web site. I asked if they could just set up an "A" record to direct the site to our fixed IP at the server but they insist that:-
"If you want the domain name "ournewdomainname.xxx" to resolve from your new server than you will have to provide its nameserver to us so that we can update it for the domain name. To update the A records for the domain name you can login to your new servers control panel and the A record for the domain name. "
So can anyone help me with finding this nameserver?
Thanks
Ian
