Hello,
I actually have a simple question. We have been getting userenv errors in the past that require applying a cleanup in the registry for SID entries. Sometimes we have to rebuild the profile too. Also, a quick fix noted is to reboot the workstation when a temp profile loads, but we still need to apply the above fix. Now, when we migrate to a new server and/or domain we add the registry cleanup as part of our workstation/user account rollover tasks. All our clients are currently on Small Business Servers (2008 - 2011)
So, anyhow we know how to fix these errors, but the question I have is that is this a common issue among windows networks (domain controllers, group policies, etc.)? We are trying to find a way to limit the errors and basically get a better grasp of it.
I have researched and it seems as though many network administators have experienced this issue.
Thanks,
Phil
