I know I must be missing the obvious here but I'm having a problem redirecting a printer on a Remote Desktop (via Remote Workspace).
The remote PC is Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate 32bit and the host PC is a Windows 7 SP1 Professional 32 bit. Both PCs are fully patched.
The remote PC is part of a SBS 2011 domain and the host PC is part of another SBS 2011 domain.
The remote has three attached printers. Two of them connect without problems. However, a Zebra LP 2443 LPT printer will not connect. I've installed the same printer driver on each machine without success.
However, if I establish a vpn using a Netgear FVS338 at each end then I can browse from the host and install the printer and it will function fine. The problem is that the remote doesn't usually have a FVS338 on site.
I'm assuming that it's not a driver problem so it must have something to do with the RDP. I've tried disabling EasyPrint in the Remote's Group Policy in the vague hope that would work - it didn't!
Can't see anything relevant in the event logs.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
TIA
