Hi,
Setup :
Installation is SBS2011 standard with Windows 8 Pro 64bit workstations.
User on the local machine, have all rights available.
I created my users, as usual, in the SBS console, and they have all the "standard user" role.
Then i created a share for everyone to drop their files on.
On the share, Under permisions and security, "Everyone" and "Users" have full rights.
In first instance i use the share to install and setup my workstations, videodrivers, printerdrivers, standard software that needs to be installed, etc...
But now for every program i want to start i need to give the admin credentials to get it started.
I have done this way of setup a dozen times, and it always used to work. Altough its the first time with Win8 workstations.
So what i want to do is stil use the "standard user" role, but let users be able to start anything of that share withiout having to have them type in admin credentials.
PS.
If i change a user from "standard user" to "Network Administrator" then the windows doesn't pop up.
But making everyone Network administrator is something i would like to prevent.
Regards,
Jo
