I have had a sharepoint timer service issue, where it says it bad username or password for SPFARM.
I have had a guide on how to relink these accounts - which I plan to do this weekend (wanted to know i had some free time before doing incase anythign went wrong) - The server has been working fine for email/files/backup so not been an urgency
However I do note a few settings can;t be configures, I recenetly commented on C drive space being used up, and have moved some logs from the WSUS administration as advised. I did plan to disable logging on that IIS site... however it said it could write to the file.
I was wondering is this because the file is locked to the SPFARM account for writing to? I also had an OWA ECP error with a file too... again as these are website based config files and sharepoint is sort of a main website based item, I was wondering if they are linked... i.e. the SPFARM account is the user account used by the server for editting the files?
Otherwise what is it used for? where is it used? Apart from obviously for the sharepoint timer service lol
