I would be grateful if someone could confirm that with a copy of SBS 2011 Standard Server and the Premium Add-On Pack plus the appropriate CALs I can set up the following network configuration.
Install Windows Server 2008 R2 (from the Premium Add-On Pack) onto a server, as the parent partition, and just install the Hyper-V role.
Then create a SBS 2011 virtual machine, on a child partition, and a Windows Server 2008 R2 (from the Premium Add-On Pack) virtual machine on another child partition which can function as a member server on the domain. I think this is the 1 + 1 licensing
allowed by Microsoft. I would be grateful for confirmation.
Also, is it possible to install the above configuration on a server which has an onboard Broadcom 5720 Dual Port 1GBE network interface? I thin it is recommended only to have one network card installed?
