We are using Exchange 2003 (SBS2003) in a multi-domain environment, so Exchange 2003 is configured to accept and send emails for domain A.COM and B.COM. This obviously means that a user has multiple AD-Email-Address entries, e.g. "User1@A.COM" and "User1@B.COM", with one of those selected as primary-email.
If using Outlook, OWA or even IOS-Mail the sender's email is always the selected primary-email - so far so good.
Now, when we use Entourage (2008), the the sender's email is always the one for the master domain, regardless of what is selected as primary-email.
We have observed as well, that Entourage requires the Users email (Account Settings>Personal information) to be the one of the master domain, otherwise you cannot connect to Exchange. You normally would expect that the User's email entry is irrelevant
for the authentication, as those settings are separate. At least this is the case with e.g. Outlook.
However, we guess it might be an issue with Exchange 2003 (...can Entourage overwrite AD settings??) - but are grateful for any hints.
Thanks
