Hi
I have had a rcent problem with certificates on an SBS2008 server and the only advice i got here was focused around get a GoDaddy certificate for the server, they only cost the price of a cuppa tea.
Ok Question 1, whats the link to get the certificate for less than $70 a year?
Question 2, surely thats great for 1st year, but then surely the renewal each year is $70?
Part of the issue I had was renewing the leaf certificate which gave remote.domain.com access from non domain joined pc's, will this solve this? i suspect so as godaddy is external?
what about domina joined pc's do they use the servers self certificate (the root one lasting 5 years?) or the goddaddy one? Surely that needs 2 certificates, one server.local and one remote.server.com?
how do you configure a godaddy certificate on order?
how do you configur the server and clients to use it?
any help advice would be greatly appreciated as I am considering one for the new sbs2011 server I am setting up. Could i buy one that lasts 10 years so no renewals are needed?
what happens if server information changes?
thanks
Tris
