Our SBS 2003 Exchange fails delivery to one certain domain and queues up the messages. They NDR with the following... This message was rejected due to the current administrative policy by the destination server. Please retry at a later
time. If that fails, contact your system administrator.
<mydomain.COM #4.3.2>
The mail fails delivery to this domain regardless of sending address or the recipient address.
However, I can telnet to the dest. mail server and send mail successfully using the same email addresses.
Both I and the dest mail admin have tried dropping our filtering and security, same results. He uses a McAfee smart host and I use Trend Micro WFBS. Both of our dns is good, passes smtp diag at mxtoolbox, not blacklisted, etc.
We have been sending successfully to this domain for years. Backstory - We changed ISP in January 2013, went 2-3 days before they got the reverse entry in place, no problem since that, except for this.
I turned up the SMTPSVC logging with all advanced details but am not seeing any details in that log for a queued message to the domain in question. I assume I am doing something wrong...
Can someone tell me how to turn up the logging so I can see where the conversation fails? Or can anyone provide guidance as to where my problem is? I would be glad to pm some details about the two domains if needed. Many thanks. - Mike Wood
