Exchange SMTP connectors are invalid

Hi,

I have been getting the odd DNS error with our SBS server so I ran the "Fix my network" tool. It noted two problems, one with the router that it managed to fix and one with exchange that it cannot.

The problem is reported as "Exchange SMTP connectors are invalid : Exchange is not configured to comunitcate over the network". When I attempt to fix the problem it says it cannot: "The server cannot connect the SMTP connectors. Ensure that Exchange is running and try again". All Exchange services are running. I have done run through the wizard several times over the last week and I get the same response. Below is a snippet from the fncw.log.

In my Exchange I have two Hub Transport Send Connectors. One is the Windows SBS Internet Send SERVERNAME, the other is our FQDN. The SBS connector uses the "Use the External DNS lookup settings on tranport server" option enabled. The FQDN does not. I'm not sure if this was manually done or correct.

Does anyone have any advice please?

Thanks,

Dermot.
