error message windows sharepoint site does not exist when I run fix my network wizard

hello,

I have uninstalled sharepoint 3.0 in sbs 2008 because I had some problems with it. then I downloaded sharepoint  3.0 with sp2 from microsoft site. when I want to use  central administration (of sharepoint)that is OK .but when I want to connect trough remote.domain.com  to sharepoint site I get an error. I have run set up your internet address to solve the problem I got an error   and when I viewed error details  the instruction says that  the server can not configure remote workplace.to correct this problem run the fix my network wizard.

so I runed fix my network wizard . the fix wizard shows me that the windows small business sharepoint site does not exist and when I say fix it he  tells me under status skipped.so he can not fix it. I opened IIS manager to see some details and when I click on sbs web applications and then click on bindings I see wel

http           sites                     80       *

http    remote.domain.com      80       *

https                                     443      *

also when I click on advanced settings IN IIS manager  I see in the bindings section http:*:80:sites,http:*:80:remote.domain.com,https:*:443:

I suggest that there is no port 987 may be hier is the problem, but I don't know how to resolve this problem . any suggestions to how to resolve this problem?

thanks
