I have a SBS 2008 set up with 18 workstations
they are all connected directly thru a 24 port Cisco gigabit switch here is my problem for the last several months 1-3 workstations at a time will lose internet, but will still be able to connect to the server to access files and email. restarting the workstation fixes the issue. this problem has happened to 16 of the 18 workstations and there does nto seem to be any pattern.
restarting the switch once fixed the issue but not since, i have restarted the server and dns dhcp and reset all caches tied to these services and logs, nothing is being indicated. by clearing out dns the problem became less frequent, but still happens
any direction or ideas would be helpful
( i have scanned the server and workstations for malware using malwarebites spy bot and super anti spyware, also ran hijack this a couple times and nothing came back as anything obvious. these users are very strict on browsing habits and in 5 years i have seen one virus on there computes. they are using kaspersky antivirus on everything, and no computer is over 3 years old.)
