Hey All,
Currently have a SBS 2008 server running and looking to migrate up.
Just purchased a Fujitsu TX100 S3p and have Xeon E-1220v2, 24GB RAM, 2x500GB RAID1 and a 1TB and 2TB Drives as well.
So looking at my options -
- Migrate to SBS 2011 and kepp everything the same
- Install Windows Server 2012/Hyper-V and have Windows 2012 Essentials and Exchange 2013.
My only concern is that my current server also runs Townky Server and provides media capability (quite well).
I have Movies, Pictures and Software shares that are available to all my users.
If I go with #2 - How can I present the storage to the Windows Server VM in Hyper-V. Will I experience any performance degredation?
Your thoughts and comments are welcome
Cheers
Dan
