Hello,
I have Windows SBS2008 connected to a Netgear AC1750 Router. I recently switched from ATT to Comcast for my internet, now using a Arris TM822 modem. Since I switched to Comcast, every time there is a power outage or even if I reboot the server,
I lose the internet connection. So now I have to go to the SBS Console- Network>Connectivity>click Fix My Network. The wizard comes back with"Potential network issues-Network Adapter has an incorrect IP address type-Details-The
IP Address on the network adapter on the server is not a static address"
At this point, I click Next and have the wizard fix it. Obviously, this is not the ideal way to handle it.
Everything worked fine before switching to comcast. I have very basic server knowledge. I'm not sure if my server settings are incorrect or if my router settings may be incorrect, or both.
In my router Internet Settings, I have-
Internet IP Address set to Get Dynamically from ISP
DNS Address set to Get Automatically from ISP
Router MAC Address set to Use Default Address
LAN Settings, I have-
LAN TCP/IP Setup- IP Address 192.168.1.1 IP Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Use Router as DHCP Server is Unchecked.
I've never had to deal with this before since there were no issues before switching to comcast. It's possible there were some changes made when I was setting up the to router to work with comcast.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
