I have attempted to get a resolution to this issue on another thread. None achieved. Refuse to pay MS to fix a new product that has not worked correctly from the start. This is my last attempt to resolve this, if it doesn't work, I will burn it down and go Apache/Linux and never look back. For a product that is supposed to be plug and play, I have not experienced that at all, at any stage.
Problem:
I can ping the server. I can call the internal web site, but it times out. Until recently, I could call the http://connect process, but it would start then time out - either never completely loading the connect page or loading it and then stalling in the actual process. If I go to my website through an external source I can hit it and it loads correctly. If I attempt to hit it from an internal source it partially loads then stalls. If it were a loopback issue I do not believe that I would even be able to address it at all. My current state is that when I address http://connect it now fails over to www.connect.com or some such thing. Seeing as how I now have a server that doesn't serve - fundamentally defeating the purpose of a server, I am beside myself. I have visited every blog, technet, and website article that seems relevant to this issue and have not found a solution. I am to the point of abject frustration and refuse to burn down and rebuild this, because it doesn't make sense that the server will work from an external source, but not internally.
Issues and "Resolutions":
Cannot join clients to server both XP and Win 7
Cannot access internal Web
Can ping server
Have turned off firewalls
Have done psconfig solution
Have done bits solution
Have done firewall configuration
Have had all updates completed(though that has changed since the length of time this has taken)
Not really getting error messages ( other than the occasional connect message about try again - when that makes it that far)
Plus others I have either forgotten or don't feel are relevant
MS insists on charging me $260 to fix a known issue - not going to happen

This is my last attempt; If this doesn't work I will be burning the server down and going in a non-MS directio
