Windows 7 can't see internet when connected to domain

I'm baffled.  An almost new (2 months) desktop computer running Windows 7 Pro in a domain (Windows 2003 SBS) has been working fine until this week.  Now, it connects to the server (processes login script, all mapped drives work, server-based apps work, etc.), but the internet doesn't work.  Not just a browser issue, it can't ping known outside addresses.

- All Windows networking troubleshooters report no problems.

- Norton Antivirus, Malwarebytes, TDSSKiller, and Eset online scans find no issues (other than normal tracking cookies).

- All adapter and Network and Sharing Center settings are identical to adjacent computer that works fine.

- Windows Event Logs show nothing of value (a BHDrvx86 error - but this is due to inability to reach internet)

- Logging in as a different user (in case profile is corrupt) has no effect.

I've also tried, without success:

     a) removing from the domain, changing computer name, rejoining domain
     b) assigning static IP address and DNS
     c) doing a system restore to last week (when it worked fine)

So I took it home at end of day Friday.  Saturday morning I booted it up and discovered it connects just fine outside the office.  ???? confused ????

Circumstances would make me think of either cabling or router issues, but 1) what cabling problems would allow full-duplex LAN but no WAN?  2) the router is a very simple Linksys WRT54GL which nobody can access but me, and I haven't made any changes in months.
Any thoughts?  I'm afraid of taking this back to the office Monday and it not work again.  Thanks in advance.
