Hello experts,
one of our customers has just bought a new IBM Server and an OEM SBS 2011 Standard license with the additional Premium Add-On license.
I need some additional information and clarifications about SBS 2011 Premium Add-on implementation scenarios and licensing:
1. Is it possible to run all the features and services that come with SBS 2011 Standard installation PLUS the SQL Server 2008 R2 for Small Business that comes with the Premium Add-on on the same server or SBS 2011 Standard installation currently prevents SQL Server 2008 R2 for Small Business from being installed and run on the same box ?
2. Should it be possible to run the SQL Server 2008 R2 for Small Business that come with the Premium Add-on on the same server is it possible to use the additional Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard license that comes with the Premium Add-on without limitation in terms of applications/services ?
3. Since the SBS 2011 Standard license and the additional Premium Add-On have been purchased through OEM licensing am I required to install the additional Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard license that comes with the Premium Add-on on a separate physical server or is it possible to install it on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard guest Virtual Machine using the SBS 2011 Standard installation as a Virtualization Host running VMware Player/Server ?
Thanks in advance as always.
Regards,
Massimiliano
