Hi all,
This is a question to SBS licencing specialists. I have researched this on the internet and on the MS web site, but can't find an answer.
One of our customers has a complicated life. While they have only 30 users, the also use several email domain names. Each person could have anywhere between 1 & 4 different email addresses. Each email address has its own mailbox in Exchange. As a result,
there are now 70 users in the SBS2011 console. However, they plan to get another domain which could bring the total number of mailboxes to 90, which is more than 75 users allowed on a SBS.
The questions are
1. Today, do they need 30 user CALs or 70 user CALs?
2. When they get to 90 users accounts (still having only 30 person accessing the server), will there be a problem on the SBS preventing the users from doing their work, accessing resources, blocking them in any way?
3. Will SBS overreact at a certain point? And what is that point? For example, what if they hired another 20 people (50 people in total) and increased their mailbox number to 160??? Any problems then?
Looking forward to some feedback
Alexandre
