Hi,
I have run several SBS2003 to SBS2011 migrations successfully without any issues. Yesterday I followed my same procedure and the Exchange Install failed with the following error:
" InstallExchangeTask: Exchange Server 2010 cannot be installed.
ConfigureWSSOutgoingEmailTask: Incoming and outgoing e-mail for Microsoft SharePoint Foundation are not configured. "
Looking at the logs I cannot see any other failures on the install apart from Exchange Server.
Can I just manually install Exchange or are my options limited. I have a system state and an image of the server, but rolling back is not the option I want to take, and starting a new Domain is definately not an option.. I thought I may be able to reinstate the FSMO roles on the SBS2003, setup DHCP on SBS2003, and cleanup MetaData and cut off the new SBS2011 altogether and start again.
Your thoughts / advice / recommendations would be appreciated.
Cheers
Brett
