I have a fresh install of SBS 2011 Essentials and the Remote Web Access is not working.
If I go to IIS and in to Default website then select the Remote virtual directory then Browse Application I get the following results
Browse *.80 (http) - HTTP Error 403.4 - Forbidden The page you are trying to access is secured with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
Browse *.65510 (HTTP) - HTTP Error 403.4 - Forbidden The page you are trying to access is secured with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
Browse *.65515 (HTTPS) - Works but certificate error because it is using localhost:65515 instead of remote.mydomain.com as listed on certificate
Browse *.443 (HTTPS) - Does not work, Error: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
The only firewall is the built in Windows firewall with no custom rules created, whatever SBS does is what I have. It appears that HTTP and HTTPS are both being allowed through and rules are enabled.
If I browse https://remote.mydomain.com/remote it also says Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage. If I try it in FireFox from remote, it says Connection Reset.
The SBS dashboard says the domain name is not setup (at one point it said it was on and working etc..). Turning off and back on doesn't help. Repairing doesn't help.
On the install day, remote web access worked. Now it is not. Port forwarding is configured properly, even if it weren't, I cant even access this on 443 from the server itself and am confident if this is resolved, the problem as a whole will be resolved.
ideas?
Thanks
