Hi
Our little company is running a SBS 2011 server since almost a year now. We've come accross lots of issues, questions and thanks to this forums : solutions.
I would like to escalate a little problem we have encounter from time to time; when we try to mail some third party partners.
Sometimes ; we can receive mails from them; but we can't send them a reply.
Just to summarize:
We have a SBS 2011 server running our mails with Exchange 2010 ; a DNS registered @ OVH : idfdentaire.fr ; but only the subdomain accesdistant is in a MX record and sending mail to the exchange server. The network is connected through an Internet line from wanadoo.fr/Orange.
As I said : all runs pretty smoothly; except in some case; we can't mail specific people and we receive the following information in the rejected email :
Informations de diagnostic pour les administrateurs : Serveur de génération : IDFSERVER.idfdentaire.local racine@netcourrier.com relay-2.mailobj.net #554 5.7.1 <LNantes-156-75-9-39.w82-127.abo.wanadoo.fr[82.127.168.39]>: Client host rejected: Please, use your provider's STMP server ##
I am really lost here; have no big clue on where to start ; where to look at.
As I said; it works with many people... I was told to look at : http://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx where I can find a reverse DNS issue; could it be the reason ? I read about SmartHost solution too; but i am not sure this is related to my problem ?
Thanks for anyone that could help...
