I just finished setting up a new SBS 2011 server. The specs are Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit), Exchange Server 2010 (we do use it to host our mail), SQL 2008 R2 (several non-standard databases here). The server handles dhcp, dns, dns, active directory, remote web access, owa, windows updates for all domain computers, server backup, etc. The domain has about 10 users and 10 client computers (one for each user).
What kind of on-going maintenance do I need to perform on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to ensure the server and all users operate smoothly? I have the basics in place now including checking event logs, server backups setup and configured (built-in server backup system), and ensuring PCs are getting windows updates but I don't know if there is stuff I should be doing for exchange, sql, active directory, dhcp, etc.
How much time (hours) do you estimate any suggestions you make to take?
Thanks so much for all your help in advance.
