I have a DELL server that came with 2 500GB drives which I configured as mirrors during my initial setup. I configured them as a C: System partition and a D: Data partition. Recently Disk 0 reported that it was getting ready to fail. Since I needed to replace the drive and wanted to add some storage space also, I ordered 2 1TB drives. I swapped the remaining healthy 500GB drive (Drive 1) with the failing drive and installed one of the TB drives. Then using DELL's Open Manage software rebuilt the mirror. After it was done rebuilding, I removed the 500GB drive and replaced it with the newly created 1TB mirror drive and then installed the second 1TB drive. I have not yet begun the process of rebuilding the mirror.
My issue is that I now need to extend the D: partition, but 'Extend volume...' is greyed out. In fact, it doesn't even show the unallocated space on Disk 0. I'm thinking that maybe I need to recreate the mirror before the unallocated space will show up, but as I'm inexperienced in this scenario I don't want to proceed until I'm sure of what I need to do. I've included a screenshot of my current state.
TIA!
