Hi Guys,

Really need some help here. We have a SBS 2008 box where the hard disk failed in quite spectacular fassion, after a new disk was insrted and the system recovered we only discovered that the backups were not fully completing :( - The server is now back up and running however I noticed the console seemed very sluggish and kept crashing and we could not add reports through the console either. Upon further investigation it looks like the SBSMONITORING service/database is currupt/missing.

In the event viewer all that is logged is:

An inconsistency was detected during an internal operation in database 'master'(ID:1) on page (1:9). Please contact technical support. Reference number 6.

There is another issue that we can't seem to get into the database using express studio (SQL2005) using windows authentication. Thats whole side of things just seems dead.

Is there a way we can remove the SBSMONITORING database and recreate it or, delete SQL2005 and recreate in SQL2008 which is present on the server.

I am new to SQL so please be bear with me.....

Any help would be appreciated. I have tried many options already on the net but none seem to work and  seeing as I cant event get into the database seem worthless.

Thanks in advance

John
