SBS 2011 DNS Settings disappeared

I have recently installed a new SBS 2011 server into our remote office just outside of London. Upon setup everything worked ok and didnt get into any real issues. Besides a computer refusing to let a user be assigned to it, which I managed to resolve in the end.

However out of the blue (about 2 months later) I had a call from my "IT Delegate" from that office saying all internet connection and emails etc were down. He explained that it had been this way for about two hours, which was strange as I was connected into the server myself checking the backups.

I was able to connect into the server and dig around and long story short it was a problem with the DNS. I looked at the DNS Settings and every single setting was set back to default i.e no forwarders etc.

After inputting that information back into the DNS Server everything was working, however my issue is why the server removed all those settings. There is absolutely no information in the logs and the service was running as normal etc.

Hopefully somebody might have a suggestion as to why it could have happened, or where to look?
