Installed SBS2011 in a network that had an existing 2003 server and Exchange 2003 (not SBS 2003). We upgraded Active Directory on the 2003 server, installed SBS2011 on a new system and it reported that Exchange 2010 did not install - however Exchange was installed and running normally. After letting AD synch we moved the public folders, address book and mailboxes over - everything works normally. However each time the Management Console is opened it shows Exchange in evaluation mode with a limited number of days to activate. Running the hotfix in KB2527626 just returns an error saying Exchange 2010 is not installed. The error I can find in the Exchange setup log is:
[ERROR] Couldn't resolve the user or group "Server.local/Microsoft Exchange Security Groups/Discovery Management." If the user or group is a foreign forest principal, you must have either a two-way trust or an outgoing trust.
[ERROR] The trust relationship between the primary domain and the trusted domain failed
Is there any way to resolve this without reinstalling (this is a live production server)?
