We have an SBS 2008 with a active Exchange Service running. To get the e-mails, we are using the Pop3 Connector wich collects the e-mails from our ISP. This worked well until this morning when the server restarted(unknown reason, nobody was here).
Since then we don't get any e-mails thought the Pop3 Connector to the exchange... internal mails are working good and also sending to external people works good.
We are currently running around 20 people on this exchange and are connected via the Pop3 Connector. The funny thing is: Some users work still and some have an localhost timeout. The e-mails of these users which are not working are not huge (couple of kbs...)

I'm working on this issues for around 9hours and don't see any solutions, also with advice from google.
When I connect via telnet (telnet localhost 25) and also from external client (telnet server 25) it seems good, the return value is 220. I checked the network card if there is something different, but this seems to be good. Some people adviced to updated the driver of the network card, this I've done but nothing changed.
Of course I restarted the server several times... other services are working good.
As I said, some users are working, but more strangely some users are suddenly working... others not, but I don't understand this.
Changing to SMTP is at the moment not an option, but will be considered later after summertime.
Please help me on this issue, as currently many people can't work with e-mails...
