Hi,
I did set up a brand new SBS2011 box, all patched and updated. Server works fine with no problems.
Still i have to 2 problems, with the workstations.
1. http://connect
When i connect my Win8Pro machine(s) i can start the http://connect, enable intranet settings, and start the connectionwizard. Fill in the user and logon credentials, next, next, Restart. Then you see a window poping up with the steps the connection
wizard has to do to join the computer, so the first 3 steps you see get the green checks (which is normal behavior) then the computer restarts, normally after restarting the same window is popping up again, and set green checks at the last steps, asking you
to click complete or OK.
But that doen't happen, so i don't know if i am "really" joined to the domain ? If i check my computer porperties, i am in the domain, my shares are OK (created by policies), other policies seem to be OK, all seems normal, but i still won't trust it ???
2. logon pasword.
I don't know if this has to do with the above, but when the client startsup, it doesn't ask for a password. It directly starts to the desktop. When i do a log off, then i have to type in my pasword. But when cold starting or restarting it just logins
automaticly. (instead of giving me the ctrl-alt-del screen)
Hope there's someone out there that can put me on track again, since i'm a bit lost after searching for hours now.
