Hi
I am about to install a second server to my SBS2011 Network.
Currently there is 1 SBS2011 Server
I am about to add a second server, with Server 2008R2 installed on it.
From what I understand all I need to do is use the http://connect tool or manually tell the server to connect to the DOMAIN when asked on install.
From what I understand that would join the server to the network.... Is there anything else I will need to do?
Would I end up logging on to the second server with Administrator, or would that account be disabled and my Admin User would have access?
Would this do all propogation for Username and Passwords so they exist on both servers? Should this happen? Would it be good for this to happen? (I see BPA/Event Manager always saying its better for AD to be propagated)
What would anyone else do when joining a second server to an SBS2011 network?
Is there a guide about what roles and features should be installed set up? (never done this before this is new to me)
Also what about backups.... This server 2008R2 will hold shared data... whats the best way to do the backup? is this something that needs to be installed as a feature/role or is Server Backup installed as default?
Any advice/guidance gratefully appreciated
Tris
