Running SBS 2011 Standard. Had problems with Companyweb for which MS tech assistance was sought. In one of the sessions the Tech changed the parameters for System Volume Information after which the Backup would not run. The service "Block Level Backup Engine Service" would not start. On manually starting it I would get the error "Windows could not start the Block Level Backup Engine Service service on Local Computer. Error 0x800700b7: Cannot create a file when that file already exists." Did a research and got the information that the parameters on System Volume Information can be the reason. MS Tech "restored" the permissions but even then the Backup would not start due to Block Level Backup Engine Service not starting.
On an elevated command prompt when any WBADMIN command line is run message comes "Server execution failed" On running the WBADMIN.MSC the same error message comes.
I shall appreciate if someone can guide as how to get the Backup working by running the Block Level Backup Engine Service.
