Changing folder redirection path in SBS 2008

Hello, I am changing the path for folder redirection on a SBS 2008 box. The current hard drive is running low on disk space and i have installed a new storage array. I have seen where to change the path in the GPO. That part looks simple enough. My question is will the 2008 box automatically copy the files to the new location? will i have to do this manually? If i do need to copy manually, do i copy the files over first?

Is there anything i should know before i start this? There are a few Tb of data to move and i do not want any problems :)
