Hello,
I am having connectivity issues with IIS on Windows 2012 Essentials.
The goal of this server is to host my websites for the public to purchase items.
I have a dozen or so websites, all of them are forwarded from network solutions.com to my IP address. Nothing has changed there, this has been working since win 2003 with IIS. It currently is working on another server that has windows 2008 r2 web edition.
I have installed IIS, I made sure the forwarding is correct through the router. When I am on a workstation inside the network, the connectivity to the IIS server is intermittent. I can get to a website (eg; collector-corner.com). When I am trying to access the website, it works for a short length of time (usually under 5-10 minutes) and then it times out.
I do not get any errors when it times out, it just says the page cannot be displayed.
Within IIS, I am hosting these websites on a different partition. I am NOT using the location on C: drive. Permisions have been set for IIS User and everyone.
Since this sole server is going to be used for IIS purposes, what am I missing? In order for an outside entity to access my websites on this server, besides adding IIS - are there any other features that need to be turned on/off for people to access my websites on this server?
