Hi guys,
I am testing a migration from SBS2003 to SBS2011 with this following guide (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg563801.aspx">http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg563801.aspx)
My SBS2003 is updated and prepared to migrate, I also created the answer file.
Then, I started the installation from the new server and it was impossible to complete the migration.
I saw in the sbssetup.log an issue and understood that it could be the normalization of my local domain which is example-corp. I opened the migration question file then change the value as example.corp, then restart the process with sbssetup.exe and it passed it, but it is not that I really want because I think I will cause a lot of trouble with for example Exchange.
I conclude now that I should choose before another normalization but I really want to try to succeed with a migration process.
5 of the companies that I have to manage, have the same normalization.
I would be grateful if someone can suggest me a way to complete the process.
Do you have any idea ?
Thank you in advance.
Cheers,
Florian
