We’re currently web & email hosting with a provider, not GoDaddy. The company is currently using workgroup setup. We have about 8 workstations (desktop/laptop). We would like to use Windows SBS 2011 as Domain Controller, Exchange
Server and host the company website. I have several questions that I would like to get recommendation from experts on here.
1)I have a registered domain with my current provider (Powweb). I have read that SBS 2011 setup with GoDaddy. Do I need to transfer my domain to GoDaddy? How can I transition the domain and email to the new Domain Controller and Exchange Server with little to no email downtime?
2)I have read that it is not recommended to host the company website on the same Domain Controller server. Do I need a second Windows SBS 2011 installed on a second machine/server or can it be a Windows 7?
Please help answer my above questions and provide any recommended setup.
