SBS 2011 Standard - Local Exchange 2010 - and I've just noticed that the sync between my laptop, PC and Win Phone 8 is very much slower than with SBS 2008

I installed SBS2011 for a client (upgrade from SBS2003) about 6 months ago, and on the strength of the improvements installed my own SBS 2011 (Partner copy) very soon after (upgrade from SBS2008).

I hadn't noticed particularly that if I read an email on my phone, the various other clients connected to my account didn't notice for quite some time - and in fact, this slow sync is true no matter which client you are working with, Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013 (on W7 and W8), my Surface RT mail client, my Surface Pro with Office 2013, and my HTC 8X.  The update of status of the message doesn't change on the other clients for a number of minutes, often as many as 20.

This wasn't the case with my SBS2008 system.

The problem is highlighted by my doing an upgrade from SBS2008 to SBS2011 several weeks ago for another client, where one user in particular pointed out his loss of immediate sync - again on a W Phone 8.  A bit of experimentation showed that the 2 users who log in as 'Office' on a new pair of W8 PCs, with Office 2013 Pro, and have been working co-operatively with the sync between the 2 instances of Outlook, have the same issue - rean a message on 1 PC, and it takes some time for this to be reflected on the other - this is disturbing their previously happy co-operation.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Any thoughts on making our lovely new servers work at least as well as our worn out old ones?

Any comments or contributions will be very welcome!

Best Wishes

Frank
