i am using a SBS 2011 R2 on a vmWare ESXi 5.1
after a power event (UPS broke down) some virtual diskes crashed and need to be fixed.
Now all Data are safe, but after the fixing the server is only booting to recovery console.
after following the steps (with luck on booting)
- chkdsk
- fixmbr
- fixboot
- bootsect
i found at bootsect a strange entry
\devices\HarddiskVolume3
no access to root directy
wrong parameter
(translation from german errormessage)
I do belive that this is a false (old) entry for a storage, i used befor the crash.
Because everything else seems to work, every file is there and accessable and even the recovery console accountmanager works with correct passwords, i belive that this entry causes the recovery boot.
is this possible? and if, how can i remove this entry?
