I have an SBS2011 server and the users using Office 2010. The company has templates in MS Word that they would like all staff to use.
The server is set up with redirected files not roaming.
The templates at the moment are in a shared folder on the network.
I was wondering what the best way to give all staff access to these and Office to look at it for New Document choices?
I am planning on;
I will enable the share to be an "offline cached" folder with only read access for the general users - so all users have access to the template on and offline
This would enable manual double clicking of the template file, but as these are simple users, not ideal.
What would be the best way to send out to Office to look in this folder for templates? I want something central I can send out that will be propogated onto all machines, rather than manually set up for each user.
