Hello.
I see this is a common issue with This OS. So I would like to through this in and see if there is any help I can use to solve our issue.
Our Server is a Supermicro machine With a X9DR6-LN4+ Motherboard, it is running 2 Xeon(R) CPU E5-2665 0 @ 2.40GHz Proccessors.
1 Gig off ECC RAM, 4: 1 terabyte Western Digital SATA 7200 RPM Configured as a RAID 10.
LSI Raid Controller, (4 Port) After watching this thing for 8 months, I would say the issue is the RAID Array. But not much on server hardware.
I see the HDD lights always reading and writing and there is very little CPU load. One Software that we use is Peachtree. Then there is Outlook, Trend micro Worryfree Advanced and of course SQL. The Users are complaining about Outlook taking for ever to Start at times. Also PeachTree. I am wondering if they skimped on these drives and maybe should have used SAS 10,000 RPM drives. And either configured a RAID 5 With Four drives or added more drives to use the RAID 10?
Any ideas would be of great help. Oh and This system only has to service 8 users. Not a hugh load. So I was saying any help would be helpful. We just spent 10,000 on this thing less than a year ago.
