Event ID 7036 The Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider service entered the stopped state, SBS 2008 becomes unresponsive

Hi Experts,

We have SBS 2008 server. The issue started happening since last few days, when it becomes unresponsive. The last System log before it becomes unresponsive says:

Event ID 7036 The Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider service entered the stopped state.

By unresponsive, I mean I can ping it successfully, but it can't deliver emails and no one in the company can access any network share.

Any helpful suggestion will be appreciated
