Use SBS2011 Standard for Remote network VPN connection?

Hi,

Been trying to get my head around this and thought I'd ask the question here, can anyone help me please?

I have a client who has a router with VPN passthrough configured to forward PPTP to their SBS2011 standard server.

RRAS has been set up and remote clients do use this facility to obtain access to the network by using client PPTP VPN connection via the internet.

The SBS is connected using a single LAN connection. All of the PCs on the internal network access the outside world directly through the ADSL router.

On the local network there is a pair of time and attendance terminals that are interrigated by a PC on the network which obtains logs of staff in and out times. The PC only needs to know the IP addresses of the terminals to be able to talk to them.

I want to give the facility for an employee time and attendance terminal to be installed at a remote location. The only way of providing a connection at the remote location will be using a 3G router. The 3G router can act as a PPTP client and has the facility to raise the connection from its end. So I was thinking that the 3G router can dial into the SBS2011 server to create and maintain the VPN. My problem, not being a big SBS2011 person is understanding the routing requirements to allow the PC on the local network to talk to the time and attendance termainal on the remote network. I realise that the VPN client connection from the router will have a single IP address visible from the local netork but I am not sure if there is anything that can be configured to allow the terminal behind the router to be visible.

Does anyone understand what I am describing and can you help me to understand the SBS configuration and romote router configuration that may allow what I am suggesting to work please?

Alternatively can anyone tell me if it is simply not possible?

Many thanks,

David
