We have a new SBS 2011 server. This was migrated from a 2003 server. We are using Appassure Replay from Dell to do backups. This software uses VSS. We keep getting VSS errors when attempting to take snapshots. If I disable snapshots on the C: drive I can get my other drives to work. This seems to only happen when attempting backups on C:. We do run exchange on this server as well.
Originally I was getting Event ID 8320. I had created a vssRegistryGroup after following the directions on this post to try to resolve the issue. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2537096
Now I am getting different errors but the results are the same. I can not get a backup.
The main errors I am seeing are 8193 and 12293:

It is advised that you contact microsoft to repair the vss issue on that machine. Once this is done the snapshot should complete without issue.

EDIT: I should also note that I did try following the instructions on this post: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/dataprotectionmanager/thread/1053da86-0151-47d3-a18e-fe5e9aa65a3c but had no luck.
Also after attempting to back up C: several writers fail. Here is the output of VSSAdmin list writers after a backup is attempted. They start off all in a stable state:
