Hi,
I have a SBS 2011 server where the client network connection seems to time out if the client machine is not active on the network. I've captured a Wireshark log on both the client and server, and there I can see that when I open IE then the client issues a"SMB2 Create Request File" and it is also seen on the server, but the server does not respond. So the client retransmits the packet 5 times without any reaction on the server. So the client gives up. After 20 seconds the client issues a "SMB2 NegotiateProtocol Request which the server immediately replies to. And then IE Connection starts to run.
Any idea on why the previous SMB2 session timed out/failed ? Are there any particular events to look for ?
