Companyweb certificate error

I'm trying to figure out a certificate problem that I'm having with SBS 2011. BPA indicates that the default website doesn't have SSL bound properly (source 369). I purchased a Rapid SSL certificate for remote.mydomain.com and imported it into SBS. As far as I can tell SSL is bound correctly to the default website. Under bindings there is an entry for https with IP address 127.0.0.1 on port 443 with the Rapid SSL certificate. There is a second binding for https with unassigned ip address on port 443 also with the Rapid SSL certificate (remote.mydomain.com).

When I try and access https://companyweb I get a certificate error indicating that the certificate is only valid for remote.mydomain.com. This isn't surprising I suppose since the certificate is only valid for remote.mydomain.com but isn't there a way around this issue? I was under the impression that SBS only needed one site certificate. Am I correct in assuming that the BPA error is related to this issue?
