SBS 2008 RAID1 + d: drive which has some boot files on it (remainder on RAID).
I tried to add a spare hdd to my server and when restarted it immediately stopped and mentioned the hardware had changed after Windows started for a few seconds. Then I rebooted - no luck. Then I removed the hdd (back to working system so I thought) and it now throws up error "Xc000000x - file missing". I've had this before when a USB stick is accidentaly left in). It says insert the Windows install disc and do a repair. I have rechecked I have not disturbed anything.
I insert the Windows disc and it does not offer a repair option. I go all the way through to installing options wipe drives or not and do not want to proceed beyond this as I only want a repair done. The other disc "Repair Services" asks for the OS disc.
Advice appreciated.
