SBS 2011 Console - Access level for computers is different than AD

Good Afternoon,

My colleague and I noticed a discrepancy in the SBS Console versus AD.  When granting remote access to a computer, in the SBS Console > Users > username Properties > Computers tab, there is the ability to set an Access Level to either Standard User or Local Administrator.  If I select Local Administrator and then look in Active Directory for that particular computer, the Administrators group does not show the user as an Administrator.

Could someone please shed light on why this behavior occurs?  Any possibly more important, in the Console when granting Local Administrator privileges, what exactly does that do?
