Hi, I am have been having some problems with an exchange server over the last few days. The server is running Exchange 2003 and incoming emails are taking 30 to 60 mins to be delivered. Internal email comes through straight away. Example of the Issue:
I send a test email to one of our users from my hotmail account at 14.25 and it is reaches the hosts webmail instantly.
I then log on to the server and using the default POP3 connector, manually pull the mail in. The email then dissapears from the webmail instantly.
The email then dissapears from view, nothing in the server email queues and nothing in the server logs.
The email then shows up at 15.00 in the users inbox and the entries appear in the log for that email. I have no idea whats happening in the meantime.
The AV we use is sophos which is disabled for now and we have disabled the Spam filters for exchange and this is the only server in the organisation.
Does anyone have any ideas about where to go with this ? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Gordon.
