Dear all,
I recently saw a few strange things with a Ex10 setup (SBS2011), the problems seem to be around inbound email,
unfortunately I have not had a good root around the server/exchange enviroment, however when I took a look at number of differernt inbound NDR reports, which were forwarded to another email email address by people who received these bounces. Some of the bounces
do not even appear to hit the network and are bounced by Bigfish.com due to content restrictions, I have confirmed that the customer does not subscribe to any online email hygiene service. Other NDRs show that the inbound mail was processed by the SBS server
as I can see the correct public address and SBS server header, but they read Unknown User but the user does have a valid SMTP in the AD/Exchange.
I have searched the web for more information to do with Bigfish.com however I found some sites which suggest
these servers are owned by Microsoft and act as a spam filter for Forefront for Exchange? Further to this I can see that the SBS server is using esat for scanning messages from looking at the headers.
Can anyone provide some assistance with regards to understanding if Ex2010 with SBS2011 uses any type of Edge
Server role or Forefront for Exchange subscription or even any default SCL/content filtering which could be causing these problem?
