I see a lot of posts for this question but none are conclusively answered so I will ask again:
My client is running SBS 2011 with Storage Craft's Shadow Protect backup. They are backing up to two external USB drives which they rotate weekly.
When using the Safely Remove\Eject Hardware option the message is that the device is in use. I have checked and there are no open files or sessions connected to the device.
Using process manager, however, I see 4 system processes:
H:\$Extend\$RmMetadata\$TxfLog\$TXflogContainer0000000000001
There are three more with similar names. The same processes are associated with all the other drives on the system.
Can someone please explain this as well as how I can make the drive available to be ejected???
Thank you!
